What are we going to do this year?
Well, we'll play, we'll sing, we'll hop around and we'll have lots of fun.
We want our children to enjoy learning, and we are going to try hard to get it.
We usually start by greeting each other by singing:
"Hello, hello, hello, how are you?"
After that, we just play with numbers or colours, and, we have, at least, one song for each one of these topics:
Red, Pink, Yellow,
One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six
There is also a very nice finger song that children love. I couldn't find it, however, in You Tube, but here it is, just in case you want to give it a try:
"Sammy thumb, Sammy thumb, where are you?
Here I am, here I am, how do you do?
Peter Pointer, Peter Pointer, ...
Bobby Big, Bobby Big, ...
Ruby Ring, Ruby Ring, ...
Tiny Tim, Tiny Tim, ...
Fingers all, fingers all, ..."
A very similar song to this one, though with the members of the family, is the one below:
What else do we do?
We learn about our body, of course.
And though all of us know the Head and Shoulders song, we also say chants or tell stories.
Farm Animals is other of the topics we are working on, and we've got quite a few favourite songs here:
Old McDonald had a farm
The Animals on the Farm
There are plenty of other songs we sing when we are together, and the ones below are just examples of what we do:
Twinkle, twinkle, little star
BINGO
Click here so you can play plenty of other songs your children will love.
And when we finish the class, we sing:
"Goodbye, goodbye,
it's time to go,
Goodbye, goodbye,
I don't wanna go,
See you later, alligator,
Bye, bye, butterfly,
Goodbye"
